Man and Van PLC Terms and Conditions:
Please view the below terms and conditions that the man and van plc trade under. Any jobs booked in and carried out by us are subject to these terms and conditions.
All quotations are made in good faith that we have been informed of all goods to be transferred by the customer. Quotations and estimates may change if:
1) the number of items or goods have increased without us being informed
2) the floor levels that the goods are based has been changed or is higher than we have been informed of.
3) the number of people to assist with the move has varied without prior notification.
Removal Work we didn’t quote for:
We maintain the right to refuse to carryout any removal if in the opinion the job may pose a threat to the health to our staff. This is not only for our safety but also for yours. In the result of this happening we remain the right to charge the full cost of the removal to you the customer.
If a driver concludes that the work cannot be carried out without damage to property or possessions but you (the client) wish for the work to be undertaken you take full responsibility for the damage and therefore wave any right to claim against our insurance. This will need to be done via text message or email to ourselves.
As a removal company we are not trained, plumber or electricians. This means we are not qualified to disconnect any electrical or plumbed in items. All items you wish to be removed must be disconnected prior to our arrival. Unless otherwise agreed in writing before the date of the move.
You may be asked for a 30% Deposit to ensure your job is confirmed and booked. If this is not provided we have the right to cancel you booking or provisional booking at anytime.
On booking your job you consent to your card details being retained and used in the event of a dispute over payment.
We will not negotiate on any estimate, quotations or prices once a job has been completed. What ever price has been agreed, for the actual service carried out is to be paid. In the event of an increase of work price increases may apply.
European Moves will require a 50% deposit, paid no later than 24hrs prior to date of the move. Any cancelations due to non payment of this deposit will be subject to a £50 cancelation and administration fee.
Cancellations & fees:
The customer has the right to cancel their job as long as they provide us with a minimum of 7 days notice. Refund of any deposit is accepted less a £25 administration fee.
If we are given less than 7 days notice for any cancellation we are entitled to charge a 50% cancellation fee which can be enforced subject to our discretion. Should we be given less than a 12 hours notice we are able to enforce a 75% cancellation fee. Again this is at our own discretion.
This Fee can be deducted from the credit/debit card given to us at the time of booking the job.
it is the customer responsibility to ensure we have suitable parking within 10m of the property. If the customer fails to do this there may be additional charges added to the removal cost. These charges will apply if the customer fails to inform us of more than a 10m distance from where our vehicle may park to the main entrance to the building you require us to enter.
You, the client, is responsible for ensuring that we can park legally at each address. If we receive any penalty fines, they will be passed onto you the customer.
All our vans are fitted with satellite navigation systems which our drivers follow to get to each destination. If you are aware of a quicker/shorter route please inform your driver and we will endeavor to follow it, otherwise the driver will follow the route provided by the satellite navigation system and we accept no responsibility for how long the journey takes.
All our vans come with up-to 30K worth of GIT insurance and 1 Million worth of Public Liability Insurance.
There is a £250 (excess charge) for any and each item claimed on the insurance. Responsibility lies with the customer to make us aware of any damages or losses at the time of delivery. If this does not happen we will not accept responsibility. As we are not able to guarantee it was caused or lost buy us.
Any damage must be reported and verified immediately with the driver who will provide a claim form. You must notify Man and Van Exeter of any visible loss, damage or failure to produce any goods at the time of delivery, as we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to property after a job is complete, payment is received and our driver has left the premise.
We Hold the right to reschedule or cancel all bookings due to what we would consider situation that may be hazardous or endanger our staff.
